Description

Join us as we partner with Lakeshore Learning to provide a STEM Foundations and Implementation training. We understand that STEM can be intimidating for staff to implement with students. This training is designed to alleviate those fears and help make STEM engaging for students and staff.

In this workshop we will analyze the foundations of STEM concepts and the rationale for STEM teaching. We will explore each content area within STEM and how they work together to create active learning experiences for children. We will also apply the newly learned knowledge of STEM to implementation suggestions with the resources available for use by the participants. They will have time for hands-on experiences to encourage deep understanding of the concepts within the resources.

The Orange County STEM Hub has purchased some STEM materials from Lakeshore Learning and will house them in a Lending Library for programs to check out throughout the year. In order to check out these kits, you are required to attend this training. Additional trainings may be offered throughout the year that will meet this requirement.
